The Industry
Ever dreamed of having your own private chef whip up dinner while you lounge by the infinity pool of your Mediterranean villa? Join the club!
Europe's tourism sector came roaring back with a vengeance, with Q1 2025 international arrivals up 4.9% from 2024. But here's where things get interesting: while most travelers are hunting for bargains and off-season deals, there's a whole other world operating on a completely different dimension.
Travel spending is set to jump 14% in 2025, with Europeans planning longer getaways, 42% are booking holidays of 7-12 nights, an 11% increase from 2024. We're talking "work can wait" energy, and I'm here for it!

But the real news? Luxury travel is about to hit a mind-boggling $1.78 TRILLION globally in 2025. That's trillion with a "T", enough to make even your richest friend's jaw drop.
The Mediterranean hotspots are absolutely dominating this space:
Italy (the undisputed champion)
Greece (those private islands aren't going to rent themselves)
France (because champagne tastes better in France)
Spain (villas with views for days)
Portugal (the newer kid on the luxury block)
Together, these five account for 38.3% of all luxury trip requests this year. But what are these high rollers actually looking for?
It's not about checking off ten countries in twelve days anymore. Today's luxury travelers want depth over breadth - immersive, authentic experiences in one stunning location rather than a tour. They're celebrating milestone moments (honeymoons, big birthdays, that promotion they've been gunning for) and seeking privacy, exclusivity and experiences that make their Instagram followers weep with envy.
